Remembering Ron Schell
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Schell, founder of Schell & Associates. Ron passed away on July 11, 2019.
Ron Schell had achieved 40 years as a designated professional accountant. He was best known for his consulting skills, predominantly in Canada/US tax returns and assurance engagements. Ron had founded Schell and Associates, CPA in 1990 and he had provided services to its loyal clients till the day of his passing.
Ron Schell strongly believed in giving back to the community and worked with agencies that provide services to family and children such as Navy League of Canada, VIATT, South Island Metis Board, and Surrey Metis Children Family Services. Ron had been on the boards or provided consulting services for those organizations.
Ron had a zest for life and loved an assortment of sports. In Alberta, he was an avid curler and enjoyed nature, hunting and fishing in his early years. In latter years, Ron’s passion was golf and dedicated many hours on the golf course, in which he accomplished three hole in ones within a year.
Anyone who knew Ron knew that he always smiled while chatting, loved to share jokes and easy to talk with. He was living proof of how fine a person can be. He was a rare and wonderful person, hard working, a genuine people person, full of intelligence, kind and inclusive. He was an excellent boss to the people in his charge, a brilliant mentor to his business partners, a loving husband to his wife, a devoted father to his children, a cool Bumpa to his grandchildren, and also a good friend to clients, and colleagues. The character of the life he lived could be summed up in a few words: he was sincere, he was earnest, and he was loyal.
Sorrow fills our hearts at this sad moment, a sorrow that is deep and personal. Ron Schell has silently closed the door of his life and departed from us. Our lives will be empty in the areas that he had brightened for us.
Goodbye, Dear Ron. We all loved you very much and will miss you tremendously. You touched so many lives.
